The Tallassee Police Department has made an arrest in the Saturday murder of Malik Allen.
On Sunday, Dakarian J. Hughley of Tallassee was arrested by Tallassee police.
“Through investigation, Hugley was determined to be the primary suspect in the shooting and is currently cooperating with law enforcement,” Tallassee police chief Todd Buce said.
The shooting occurred Saturday at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Hickory Street. Allen was transported by a private vehicle to Community Hospital where staff was unable to revive him.
